Centenary Celebrations in Puttaparthi

The centenary celebration of Sri Sathya Sai Baba is set to take place in Puttaparthi from November 13 to 24, attracting devotees from approximately 140 countries. Notable attendees will include Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

To accommodate the large influx of devotees, extensive arrangements for free meals and lodging, including temporary shelters, are being made. The venue for the Prime Minister's event is also undergoing redevelopment in preparation for the celebrations.

Devotees Reaffirm Commitment to Sai Mission

R.J. Ratnakar, the managing trustee of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, shared that devotees are using this occasion to reaffirm their commitment to the Sai mission, which emphasizes the principles of loving all and serving all. He mentioned that all Sai devotees and followers are dedicating themselves once again to the mission of service, aiming to spread love and unity among humanity.

Ratnakar confirmed that Prime Minister Modi has agreed to participate in an event at the Sri Sathya Sai Hill View Stadium on November 19, marking the largest gathering since Baba's Mahasamadhi in 2011.

Key Events and Commemorations

November 23 is anticipated to be the most awaited day for devotees. The 44th convocation of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning will take place on November 22, with Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan as the chief guest. During the Prime Minister's visit, the Trust plans to unveil its future initiatives.

Additionally, the Indian government has agreed to issue a commemorative postage stamp and a special 100 rupee coin in honor of Baba, which is expected to be released by Prime Minister Modi on November 19.
